So if you’re reading this, you’ve probably heard the rumors – that aluminum in deodorant is one of the more insidious causes of Alzheimer’s disease, right? Wrong. Well, probably wrong.
When I heard a buddy tell me that there was a correlation between the aluminum in my antiperspirant and Alzheimer’s, I was shocked. I had never heard this claim before, though it’s been around for decades. I guess I was just out of the loop. Regardless, I was obviously concerned considering this was a product I’ve been using since puberty – as with the rest of the hygienically minded post-pubescent world. Immediately I ran to the store to buy a stick of aluminum free antiperspirant.
Hah! Good luck finding one.
